A look at our progress including calculations
The idea comes to Sadiki's mind. In 2021 he develop an idea to adopt Ubuntu philosohy of doing things together as a group of people. And he makes his first mention of this idea on currently available post on his facebook.01
Sadiki experimente with the idea. He brought people together so they can form a non profit organisation that sponsor refugees. Some people joined but as there was no return on investment, people were not impressed02
Sadiki visits Uganda. When he makes a long visit, he finds out many opportunities lying dormant and untouched03
Opportunities that needs little capital. Opportunities in crop farming, piggery, poultry, real estate, petrol stations, and more...04
Finding startup capital. To do something big, you need enough capital. And what is the best way to find it than coming together as a group of people. He remembers the Ubuntu philosophy.05
Working with others. Sadiki reached out to people so they can join hands and grab these opportunity together. 06
Campaign Website is built. After talking to some people especially community leaders, they are supportive of the idea and Sadiki begins to call for more people 07
Piggery project plan put in place. We considered all opportunities and figured out that the piggery project would be easier and affordable and would need a small number of people08
Maximum 50 members reached. Today is Feb 2024, and by June 2024 we would like to have reached maximum number of members. We need 50 people for this project. 09
$100/month per member for 2 years. 50 members will invest $100 per month in this business for 2 years and then they will wait to get profits for years to come10
$5,000 in total first collection. When 50 members contribute $100 per month, its $5,000 per month in total. This collection will continue for two years 11
Buy large plot and construction starts. After the first contribution from member investors, we will buy a very large plot of land somewhere in rural areas of uganda where land and construction is affordable and also begin construction.12
complete construction. By the end of august 2024 we will have collected $10,000 from member investors and can complete construction of pig sty/houses. 13
Talking to parters with best pig breeds. After construction, we will be researching where to find pig breeds, the best ones for business. Like those that have possibility to produce 15 piglets at once, and have alot of weight. 14
Buy the first 50 piglets at $50 each. We will buy 50 two months old piglets, 45 healthy females and 5 healthy males. A piglet costs $50 including transportation from Jinja where their base is. This will cost us $2,500 in total. Total in our contribution account: $5,000, Total remaining: $2,50015
$50 to feed one pig until maturity. That is $12.5 per month per piglet. Total of $625 per month per 50 piglets. Total remaining in our contribution account: $1,87516
Another 50 piglets are bought to make 100. Total in our contribution account: $6,875. Total spent to buy piglets: $2,500. Total number of pigs on the farm: 100. Fifty 3month olds and new fifty 2 month olds17
We spend $100 to buy & raise, sell at $216. Every pig we will be making us a profit of $100+. That means with 1,000 pigs, we expect profit or net worth of $100,000. If we produce 1,000 pigs every 1-2 month that means we have a net worth of $600,000 - $1,200,000 per year18
100 pigs have gotten pregnant. The pigs we got in september 2024 at two month will mature in 4 month and get pregnant by the end of February 2025. Also the piglets we got in october 2024 at 2 month will be getting pregnant too 19
Each sow/pig produces 10 - 15 piglets. If each pig produces 10 to 15 piglets, that means in the coming 3.5 to 4.5 months after we buy the 100 piglets we will have in total 900 - 1,350 new piglets from 90 mothers20
900 - 1,350 new piglets produced. Our project is 1 year old and same time In June 2025 our farm will receive new piglets from the pregnant mothers after 3.5-4.5 months of pregnancy from the two groups.21
90 sows/pigs pregnant again. Pigs can get pregnant or go in heat just 4-6 days after giving birth. That mean our 90 mothers can get pregant again this same month22
We raise and sell the 450 - 675 males at two months. Pigs litter or produced piglets are 50/50 male and females based on science and statistics. that means we will have 450 - 675 females and 450 - 675 males. Selling each males between $50 - $100 to get total of $33,750 - $45,00023
Estimated 1,000 pig farm milestone reached. One year after our project begins, we will have an estimated 1,000 pigs on our farm. Both males and females 24
1 year and $60,000 collected. One year has passed and we have collected $60,000 in total from our loyal investors and built a farm of 1,000 pigs25

The 90 old mothers are ready to produce againBy this time the first of the 90 pregant sows will be producing again and our farm receives another 900 - 1350 piglets. Here we will have constructed more buildings to accomodate more pigs27
The first piglets produced are now 3 months. We will be making sure we raise all the females and sell all the males in order to increase our farm. By sept 2025, the pigs produced in June 2025 will be 3 months old. 28
More 1,000 piglets are produced. The 90 sows that produced in June 2025 and got pregant in the same month, have produced after 4 month in October 2025. Total number of pigs on farm, estimated 1,800. Age of farm: 1 year 2 months. Total farms worth: $388,800. Total collected from members: $80,00029
Raise and sell the 450 - 670 new males. We again sell most of the males produced and keep the females. Total number of females on farm: 1,000 approximately 30
Magic starts happening. A piglets takes 6 months to mature and get pregnant. Pregnancy takes 3 months 3 weeks 3 days and a pig gets pregnant immedietely after giving birth. In 1 year 4 months of our project, we have 1,000 females. If they all get pregnant and produce, that means we will have new 10,000 - 15,000 piglets produced. 31
Summary and estimations. Member's $100/month contribution ends. Total farm's worth: $3,240,000. At this time If 1,000 female pigs give us 10,000 piglets, by selling males and keeping most females, it will be possible to take care of our farm without contribution from members. After calculations, it is estimated that in 5 years, we may be producing 10,000 - 15,000 pigs per month and have a company of 50 investors with a yearly value of $38,880,000 32
